Anyla Beqa is currently a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University-SAIS, majoring in International Economics and Finance. She was one of the highest honored students of Economics Statistics and Public Policy at the American University in Kosovo, where she finished her undergraduate studies. Her key areas of interest include econometrics, energy, international development, and youth empowerment. For almost three years Anyla worked as an energy specialist and project manager for the “South East Europe Sustainable Energy Policy” project of European Commission at ATRC. In the meanwhile, she served as the president of the Youth Council of the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo for a year, leading several youth empowerment projects within the embassy. Anyla started her experience within PIKS as the Secretary General of KMUNA 2015-2016, and now serves as a project officer. She claims that long conversations with people and traveling experiences are her leading inspirational forces.
